Description
Pair of French hand-painted plaques featuring a man and woman dressed in traditional Breton costumes. Each consists of a turned piece of walnut with a shallow foot, upturned edge, carved rim detail, and hand-painted center medallion. A hook is provided on the back for hanging. The title “Breiz,” a colloquial term for Brittany France appears on the front of each. No maker’s mark. Minor wear, paint loss.
