More than 75 years on, designer Børge Mogensen’s truly iconic J39 side chair — a standard oft-seen in private homes, brasseries and public institutions ever since — seems destined to happily endure. Lauded for its sturdiness, versatility and the power of its modest character, the wooden seating has been continuously produced since its launch in 1947. Fashioned in solid timber in oak and walnut varieties, J39 offers a range of finishes to complement its emblematic woven paper-cord seat.
